Below is a copy/paste from Treasure Island‘s e-mail bulletin:
No bridge openings at Treasure Island drawbridge
Service expected to be restored by Sunday, June 8
The Treasure Island Causeway Channel is temporarily closed to vessels that require a bridge opening to navigate the channel. This closure applies mainly to vessels taller than 20 feet.
Friday’s storm caused some electrical damage to the bridge span lift computers. Repair techs are working on the system and are expected to have full service restored sometime on Sunday, June 8th.
The Treasure Island Causeway Bridge is open to vehicular and pedestrian traffic and the channel is open to marine traffic that does not require a bridge opening.
Mariners can contact the Treasure Island Bridgetender on VHF Channel 09.
Further updates will be issued to the local media and posted on the City of Treasure Island website www.mytreasureisland.org, on TITV615 and subscribers to Treasure Island’s e*alert will receive notifications.
