Looks like a chance of storms may occur late Monday afternoon and evening as a cold front stalls out just to our north. Monday's temps will easily reach the mid-90s and bump heat indexes to around 100. The strong daytime heating will erode any cap in place ahead of the cold front, so storms are expected to initiate along this boundary.

So far the cold front is forecast to stall just north of Frisco, along the Red River Valley and through counties just west of the metroplex. Currently Frisco is sitting at 20% chance of storms, 15% severe hail risk, 15% severe wind risk, and 2% tornado risk. I will give updates on this if needed, but I don't anticipate a severe storm outbreak in our area. Most likely some scattered storms will develop along the boundary with one or two that are severe and likely to stay just a bit to our north.
