This will be short as I am at work, small chances of rain exist for the eastern 1/3 of north Texas today and very hot and humid conditions exist for the entire area. Forecasts are a bit off right now as rain was not expected this morning when I checked last night, but I wake up and there is scattered showers around. This rain won’t evolve into anything severe this morning, but it does indicate instability in the mid levels of the atmosphere right now. This may set the stage for more afternoon thunderstorms today, though that is still a very large question mark at this time. Most likely the area will remain rain free and just get hot.
