Looks like the storm system I mentioned earlier this week is still on track to reach us on Thursday evening and Friday. An upper level low pressure will pass across central Texas late Thursday evening and Friday morning, bringing increased moisture and thus rain chances. The beautiful weather will quickly deteriorate as the day progresses Thursday, and scattered rain showers and an isolated thunderstorm or two will develop in the evening. The rain will continue intermittently throughout the night into Friday. Rain chances slowly come to an end by Friday evening, paving the way for a beautiful weekend.

Temperatures will fluctuate each day but generally stay at or below normal for this time of year… Highs no higher than 68 and lows no lower than 43 for the next five days including the weekend. Rainfall across the metroplex will be limited with the bulk of the activity passing to our south. Rainfall estimates are around 0.25 inches, hardly enough to make any notable impact. There is no severe weather anticipated for our area with this storm system.

Another storm system looks set to affect the region on Monday night thru Tuesday night but the computer models have a very poor consensus so confidence in this forecast's timing is low.
