Wow, yet another Severe Thunderstorm Watch was issued, this one includes Denton county, does not include Collin county. This appears to be related to the dissipating outflow boundary that is still moving south across the region. Storms are kicking off along this boundary and there is still some severe potential left for the area. This watch expires at 3am CDT.

Very significant flooding is occurring to our north, numerous roads flooded with some washed out.Frisco has received a relatively minimal amount of rainfall so far. The rainfall will likely cause some flooding in poor drainage areas. The rain looks to last for several hours tonight at least.

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued an

* urban and small stream flood advisory for...
  Collin County in north central Texas
  Denton County in north central Texas

* until 900 PM CDT

* at 603 PM CDT National Weather Service meteorologists detected very
heavy rain 3 miles east of Celina. Additional rain and showers were
developing from north of Wylie...to near Denton...to west of Sanger.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Rainfall accumulations of 1.5 inches per hour is expected. Excessive
runoff will cause flooding of small creeks and streams...highways
and underpasses. Additionally...country roads and farmlands along
the banks of creeks and streams and other low lying areas are
subject to flooding.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Turn around...dont drown.
