Well its been quiet around here surprisingly… with the exception of a brief pea-sized hail storm there has been no storm worth mentioning within 50 miles of Frisco.

However the anticipated squall line of showers is developing to our west with its current storm motion taking it to the North East at about 42 knots. This gives us approximately 2 hours before the bulk of the line will hit the Frisco area, so I will give an ETA of about 9:45pm for Frisco to receive the severe weather. We may get a somewhat isolated supercell that takes a right turn and heads this way before the squall line but I will let everyone know if anything like that happens. Otherwise it looks like I would plan for severe weather between 9:30pm and Midnight, with the bulk of the severe weather occurring around 9:45pm.

>

Tornado watch has been issued for our area. On a side note there is an absolutely stunning line of supercells right around the Oklahoma City area that pretty much looks like an ideal model of what supercells should look like. Today is already a huge day in Oklahoma. As I type this I can see a major tornado on the ground just to the north east of OKC. This risk area does cover the Frisco area as well. I will continue to provide updates as they come through.
