The weather station showed up today around 3:00pm, which is 5 hours too late for me. Now I have to wait til WEDNESDAY before both I and the landlord can get together to properly mount this. So unfortunately my weather data will be spotty at best until next Wednesday. However I can say that the new station is even better than I had anticipated and cannot wait to get it posting online again. I will try to get it up and running tonight but posting only data from within my apartment.
Things could certainly be worse. I have 3 days off in a row now with my new schedule (Wed-Thur-Fri), the new Davis Vantage Pro2 Plus weather station is on its way at this very moment and the weather outside is absolutely gorgeous! Highs in the low 70s, or at least they feel like the low 70s, calm winds, not a cloud in the sky! It was to pretty today NOT to go outside, so I decided that on my [short] travels that I would take some pictures of some scenery around Treasure Island.

I apologize but my weather station has been destroyed. It requires that I purchase a completely new weather station before I will have any new live weather data posted on this website. This will be at least 2 weeks but probably more before I get this site back up and running.

Some reason at the height of the storm my wind gauge reported a 61mph gust today 2/13/07 then an 81mph gust, then finally topped out at 100mph. Huh? Granted they were stronger than normal storms but they weren‘t that strong. If it was 100mph then my weather station would be in the water, as well [read more...]
